BABY MOTHER OF BABIES PANDEMIC
Pandemic means having widespread effect. Pandemic is something existing in the form of a widespread epidemic that affects people in many different countries.
Pandemic is a very widespread disease: a disease or condition that is found in a large part of a population. Microsoft® Encarta® 2009. © 1993-2008 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
In this context of our discussion today, Pandemic will be related to a situation which is fast getting out of hand that even the Parents cannot control.
I will begin with a true life story to illustrate my point firmly and to bring to the required authority in religious groups, educational institutions and every group related to the teenagers and youths in our society. The name of the person concerned will be concealed.
It all began in one of the south-south cities of Nigeria, a family of father, Mother, two boys and two girls. The father loved the Lord fervently and this robbed off on the first daughter of the family. She observed the fervency of her dad and this encouraged her to move closer to God in Prayer and study of the Bible. The mother on the other hand was not as fervent as the father, but the home front looked beautiful until something happened.
The mother, sometimes later, had suspicion that the husband was not as fervent as he used to be any longer. She suspected that the husband was probably dating another woman outside the home. There are occasions when the mother of the house will take along the daughter on a journey unknown to the daughter possibly because of the rumour she heard concerning her husband’s date so as to be able to catch the husband red-handed.
The non-fervency of the father and the acts of the mother began to have a negative effect upon the entire household.
After sometime, the mother died as a result of sickness, was buried and sooner than expected the man brought in another wife.
This rapid turn of event in the home made the first daughter lose interest in the things of God because the father figure she looked up to had backslidden. He was no longer fervent as he used to do. Love was no longer in the family and as a result the first daughter decided to look outside for love.
At the age of fourteen, while in Basic nine (Junior secondary school three, JSS 3), she became pregnant and dropped out of school. She gave birth to her first born not having a Father-Parent to take responsibility.
The entire family soon relocated to a southwestern state of Nigeria and joined one of the Pentecostal church.
Probably due
to rumour from the relatives of the deceased wife that their daughter and
sister was killed diabolically so that the new woman could come in, hatred was built into the heart of the step children.
This led to her finding solace in a nearby neighbour’s house who happens to be a young man. The said man took advantage of the lady’s situation by showing her erotic love which to her was termed love. She gave in to the advances and the guy had sexual intercourse with her.
In the meantime, this young woman discovered that she was pregnant. She approached the young man who impregnated her, who had even promised to marry her, but to her surprise the young man rejected the pregnancy.
The young woman took the law into her hand, parked out of her father’s house and relocated to another part of the town.
A
church in
the new location saw her condition, moved in to help her with the
pregnancy so
that she put to bed safely. They gave all needed support until she put
to bed
another baby girl. This young lady in question is a secondary school
dropout,
having no skill to fend for herself and with two children to look after.
At age
21 she is a mother of two fatherless children. She currently teach in a
Primary school earning little for herself and her two daughters. With
determination she has enrolled in a Teachers institute to further
develop her teaching skills.
MORALS OF THE TRUE LIFE STORY ABOVE.
This story is very recent and may require the attention of necessary organisation to step up their operations so as to curb the rise of a fatherless generation. Girls in the larger society are falling victim of the above situation.
Most parents have lost touch with their children especially the teenage girls to know who their friends are and what they do. The teenage boys as well, need to be properly trained and enlightened. The boys may escape being the father of an unwanted baby but definitely will not escape the judgement of God awaiting him.
Parents! Do not think you will be left out in Judgement concerning the poor training of your child. If you fail in your responsibility as a father and/or mother you will also stand to be judged.
BABY MOTHERS
This is a situation where a teenage/youth become pregnant without being physically, mentally, morally and spiritually ready for such level of life. She doesn’t know the ‘hows’ of taking care of a new born baby. She is practically immature. Her future goals has been truncated and it would take the grace of God for such individual to recover.
The present day society has encouraged sexual immorality to a higher degree that it is no more shameful for a young lady to walk half naked to the arousal of the male folk. In some cases it has led to sexual violence like rape.
The rate at which sexual perversion is on the increase requires proper re-orientation of Parents and younger generation to know the truth of God. Has the law of men helped the society?
The government of some nations have helped to sign into law some form of sexual perversion. The world is accepting this kind of law because it favours their evil acts.
Let us rise to save our younger generation before it is too late.
Let us reach out to the deserted, frustrated, abandoned youths and teenagers in our society bringing them out of the fire.
